Harry's Bar @ Esplanade

Yea~ just came back from Harry's @ Esplanade. did some catchin up with old frens~ and hell, the solo guitarist player there was fantastic man~ i think i'm gonna make Harry's one of my frequented jazz pubs. Gosh, this indian guy whose name is Paul, plays all sorts of styles u can imagine and he's dat damn good! dat was the highlight of the night i swear~

managed to get a bunch of brochures from the Esplanade which i think might be good avenues for stories for the arts~ i've got the calendars for april may june, july aug and sep~ besides dat, lotsa good stuff happened today as well~ managed to get another contact from my fren who's incidently learning to play the piano only recently and his teacher dealt with big band jazz composition while she was studyin in Berklee~ Yea dat's rite~ BERKLEE :) dat's one helluva place to study jazz man~ will probably call her up and ask her bout her experience there and hopefully she can offer me some really valuable advice and insight into studyin jazz music

the next 2 days are gonna be really hm.. well they dun happen all the time. it's not often dat i attend a weddin on one day and then a funeral the next and then a weddin dinner the followin day~ wat's next man, chilbirth?? And oh finally after a week! The ppl at swee lee have returned with a quote for series II & III Selmer altos~ and i'm like whoa.. these babies are gonna cost me a bomb man.. at a minimum of 8K, i think i'm gonna have to really really consider. I'm not too pleased with news dat Selmer's workmanship have deteriorated in recent times. aint gonna pay 8 or 9k and have a leaky sax on my hands no way.. i'm actually considerin the yamaha custom Z models~ according to many ppl's testimonies about it, they say dat the Z plays extraordinarily alike as the Selmer Mark VI but with all the benefit that a modern sax can offer and they cost half dat of the Selmers.. hm... big big decision this one...
