!!! FRUIT !!!

Let me say this once and for all... EVERYBODY SHOULD MAKE IT A POINT TO GO DOWN TO THE ESPLANADE WATERFRONT EVERY WEEKEND!

especially if you have bands like fruit playin there! fruit is a folk rock band from adelaide down under and boy they are an awesome band! comprising of 5 members, 3 of whom are ladies~ and yes the 3 ladies are the main vocals and 2 of them play the guitars. The other 2 men are on bass and drums. Phoa.. the drummer is one helluva skin player man~

and no i didnt forget theother lady in the band~ her name's mel watson and she does the flute, the trumpet, the euphonium, AND the soprano and tenor saxes!! like WAH LAU!! she's damn amazing!! so were the rest of the gang! totally mind blowin man! they made me really happy tonight i tell ya~

at the end of the one hour of performance, i went up straight to the counter and purchased their CD. they had both a studio and live recording~ i got the studio one but i'm thinkin of goin down tmrw nite again for their final performance and get the live cd!

and the best part is wat?? i got to speak to every single one of them and got them to sign the CD sleeve!! But even better was the fact dat i spoke to mel watson about adelaide and we talked about the university of adelaide and yea u can guess where we're gettin at - the Elder School of Music! and it's great to know dat she was from there and i spoke to her about my wish to go there to study music etc etc~ and she was like, "hey best of luck!" dat was really like WOW MAN! she's one helluva woodwin and brass player! The part which i most remember is where she held this long note on the sop sax? she held the note for like more than a minute without stopping at all! there was no fluctuation in pitch! now dat's circular breathing for you and dat was just awesome to behold man~

it's a real pity dat they are goin home after tmrw... well check out their website at www.fruitmusic.com.au

gosh i love this band!!!~
