My Parents

I never did realise just how much my parents sacrificed for us until just earlier tonight. Had a good long chat with mum, from everything about my passion for sax and about my plans to study jazz abroad and to her experiences and choices she and my dad had to make in life, for our sake too. I guess i just take them for granted becos my life is so easy, in never thought dat it was dat way becos of their efforts, their sweat and blood. I realised dat i never did give a damn about wat they did and why they did wat they did for us. And in so many ways i never did express my gratitude towards them.

Mum & Dad: If i could give back every single cent i owed you guys from the time i was born till now, all the expenses u incurred for my sake, i would gladly do so.. if i had the financial capability. I'm even surprised dat you even agreed to support my education overseas and helping me get a sax first. 4.5k is definitely no small amount of money and i wanna take responsibility for my own stuff. i will pay back during NS when i set aside part of my monthly pay :) i needa be responsible for my own life. i really appreciate dat and i guess to the best of my ability, as a student, wat i can do right now to repay u guys is to go on and achieve wat i set out to do. thanx so much for the support and even though i know dat u both will probably never read this, i just wanna say dat i'm really grateful for all dat u've done. For this reason and many others, it just makes me all the more determined to pursue my dreams and fulfill them. You give me the renewed strength and determination and assurance that i need in a time like this and I thank God for the both of you :)

My New Acquaintance

Finally today, Alvin the saxophonist replied to my email and long have i waited with eagerness at wat he was gonna say~ thanx kee for givin me his contact~ appreciate it :) There's so much to talk about with Alvin dat i just dunno where to begin. Email gets really cumbersome at some point when there's so much to talk about and learn from someone who's a lot more experienced and knowledgable in the area of music and saxophone. I suggested meeting up over coffee so dat we could exchange ideas and stuff~ it's really great to know ppl out there who share the same passion as u do? it's a real encouragement :)

ITP

Hm, work's been so far so good~ there's only so much u could do when u're in the research dept~ i've been using the invaluable time dat i have to establish my foundations, gather my contacts and all in watever that may be beneficial to me in the future. the net's a great place to look for info and dat's wat i've been doin with most of my time. there's so much to learn about from websites and forums, it's just amazing..

Great Plans

i've been doin as best as i can to learn via internet first off about basic stuff dat could be of help to me and my music. i've learnt so much about the various saxes, mouthpieces and reeds etc and playing techniques just to mention a few.. talkin to ppl who can give me invaluable advice and have experience to share. gosh, i think i'm goin mad with passion. i've never been this serious in my life about something. I think God's trying to tell me somethin. it's like do or die. and no i aint goin down without a fight~ i know it's a fight i will win with God's help. i've did so much research on this and preparation dat givin up on this now would be like hangin a noose round my neck and hittin the trap door lever. i've taken the highway out of my previous state, my previous situation and i'm on the road of no return. it's a one way ticket to boogie wonderland hah! Yea i'm on the highway of 27~
i pray God help me please...
