Overjoyed!

Today marks an extremely significant day in my life. I would say it's one of the breakthrough turning points in my ministry life. Today, i played a full service for the Indonesian church!

We had to learn 2 new songs, a new praise song and a new worship song. The song dat's playing now is the new praise song which i fell in love with extremely! Over the past 3-4 days, i'd been listening to it day in and out and getting into the groove of it. I think it paid off really well because i prepared myself, did my homework and allowed the Holy Spirit to work through me :D Goes to show dat, if you put in hard effort, if you sow much towards a cause, you gonna reap back exactly wat was sowed, BUT more than dat, you will reap 30, 60 OR a hundred fold in return :D

It's been a few months now having understudied at the Indon church svc, and quicker than i expected, God has put me in a position whereby now i'd be playing quite regularly. I've been finding myself getting thrusted into higher positions with more responsibilities to handle and God's been gracious! Throughout these times, God's been giving me test after test and taking me to higher levels each time, which is probably why i've been led to understudy the Chinese church and childrens' church main svcs. It's a whole new ball game altogether especially where the Indon and Childrens' church is concerned. The service structure, the songs played, the flow, it's so totally different from main service.. It's been a blessing to be able to be a part of these ministries where you can see the mighty hand of God moving!

Indon svc by the way, is probably the svc with the most technically difficult songs to play. One thing about the Indonesians is dat their standard of music and musical expression is really up there~ You can hear it in their praise and worship songs. I've heard loads of really funky stuff being played in the Indon church! And being a part of it, as my first understudy, i must say dat the challenge has made me even more determined to bring out the best in my playing, in my talents for the glory of Jesus Christ~

I must say dat all these have played a part in expanding my capacity. As wat Raymond shared with us today during the post svc briefing, we must all increase our capacity as musicians and not only as musicians but as normal individuals doing our normal everyday things. Enlarged capacity in our career, our families, our schools, and what not. People with enlarged capacities can face any trial and they will pass it, because they can see beyond their struggles, their difficulties and their circumstances to see the prize dat awaits them at the end of this race~ The apostle Paul tells us to strive towards the upward call in Christ Jesus~ Dat's wat we gotta see :D And when we have a clear picture of wat dat is, nothing can stop us.

Today, just before Indon svc, we experienced an almost major problem of not being able to have keyboard because it was spoilt, and the replacement keyboard did not have a power adaptor cord.. It was a test for the whole worship team. But no matter wat, the show must still go on! Keyboard or no keyboard, we still gotta carry on as musicians, doing wat we are supposed to do. And Caroline, the worship leader, put it best, saying dat if God decides to come in His awesome presence, then NOTHING can stop Him from dwelling among the praises of His ppl! Whether or not there was one instrument more or less~

So, don't be a victim of your circumstance! God is always in control of any situation :D Remember dat~ Anyway, i just got news dat i'd be playing for the next Indon svc too :D You know wat, previously i would have been kinda negative about it, being sorta fearful about how it'll turn out.. But after today, you know wat? I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAY FOR THE NEXT SERVICE! I mean, i am excited man!! Honestly! I believe God can use me in a great way to serve in this area of ministry~ I welcome it with open arms! HAhah! Yeah i'm happy man, real happy :D
