(Always) With You
Don't you ever experience days when u just feel not right.. days when you feel something is missing.. or days when you're feeling heavy hearted and it's weighing on you?
Yeah i'm sure we all do. If you don't then there are only 2 categories which you belong to. 1 of which is if you're dead, and the other category is if you're not human at all.
I was pacing around the house earlier on, feeling pretty lost with a very heavy feeling in my heart. And i dun exactly know why. It's like i felt empty suddenly and there was a void dat was yearning to be filled.
Being a borned again Christian has changed me drastically, but the basic aspects of my life are still there. I still struggle with my past which always comes back to attack me (the devil loves using our past against us), I still face real problems in a real broken down world, I still feel a whole host of emotion in life and I definitely experience the things every normal person experience. Dat's life, and i still go through it.
The only difference is, I have Christ living in me and because He conquered and overcame on the cross, therefore so will I conquer my fears, problems and wat not and I will emerge out of the fire, refined as pure gold :D
Some people think dat being a Christian is a way to an easy life. Dat could not be further from the truth. Life doesnt become a bed of roses when one becomes a believer. In fact, when you walk with Jesus, you'll be surprised how some problems can actually become even more pronounced than before. At this point are two groups of people. The first one gives in to the pressure and succumbs. They fall away. The next group perseveres and after going thru hell on earth, they come out as warriors for the Lord!
The beautiful thing is dat when we choose to place our trust in Jesus, believing by faith in the work which He has done on the cross to save our souls, we can partake in His gift of eternal life. In choosing so, He washes our sins once and for all, a clean slate, a new beginning. But however, He doesnt take away our abilities to feel emotion, to feel vulnerable and to experience temptation from the devil etc. No. Getting saved doesnt make us into robots programmed by the Holy Spirit. No, we still reserve out free will to choose in life.
Why beautiful? Because God treats us His creation, like He does Himself, cos we are made in His beautiful image. He doesnt treat us like plants or animals who cant choose when they live or die. But He loves us and holds us in greater regard than even the angels in heaven! Do you know dat, if we sin, God always gives us a 2nd chance. But not so for the angelic beings. It just takes an angel to think a proud arrogant thought in his heart and he will become a devil, and dat's exactly wat happened to lucifer who became the devil satan.
Having said all these, i am thankful to God even as i struggle with my human inabilities and inadequecies, because for one thing i know, i am truly human, made in the image of a great God, just dat i'm tainted with a sinful nature (but dat's just temporary till Jesus returns to take me). Another thing, and even more wonderful is dat, because i am weak, He is strong and i must let go and let Him, rely on His strength and run to Him to be embraced in His arms under the shadow of His wings.
