Hatiku Percaya~
Amazing, i havent blogged for like almost 2 weeks or so.. hahah~ Yea, well i've been pretty busy with many things, so i havent found a good conducive time or strength to blog. Yea btw, 'Hatiku Percaya' is the title of a Bahasa Indonesian praise song~ and yeah i just absolutely love it~ dunno wat the title means but yeah, i'll find out..
But anyway, i think i shall write about some things dat have been happening in my life recently. I've been busy with the music ministry, and practising for the up coming adult meeting this 15th. Yea, there'll be a rehearsal this wednesday at Heart of God church~ Dat'll be my 2nd time going to dat church~ :D Songs are pretty challenging somewhat, yeah but not impossible at all~
I'm very blessed to be placed understudy at the Indonesian church :) Been attending their practises and services and wow i tell you, i can hardly understand a word they are saying! But like i said, sometimes it's good you don't understand the language, just like the time i sat through the dialect service; when you don't understand the language you're listening to, then you focus on the Spirit of the Lord.
And yea it didnt matter dat i barely understood anything in the songs that they were singing (except for the occasional 'Puji Tuhan!' [Praise God!], 'Yesus' [Jesus], 'Raja' [King].. yeah.. haha, BUT, it made me focus on the Spirit of the living God~ And i just felt the powerful anointing of the Lord flowing throughout the entire svc. I tell u, the musical standards of the Indonesian church is like way up there. Their technical composition and interpretation of the songs and music are like wow.. superb! The syncopation of the songs.. man.. all the extra time signatures, accents on off beats, different styles like funk, rock etc etc.. wow, it is a challenge from the other praise and worship songs i've been playing all along.
And yea i'm so blessed because i know i can grow well in my playing in this church and i know God placed me here to grow and learn~ When i first got placed here, i really didnt know wat to expect and i was quite sceptical about how things would be like in the Indon church, but yeah after 2 weeks or so here, i'm like.. wow i love it here! I feel the great rush of praising the Lord, dancing to the music, lifting my hands and my voice to Him! I feel the strength of His anointing in this service :D And i absolutely love the energy and excitement in the music and the people! I tell you, Indonesians are some of the most talented musicians in our region man!
So yeah, dat is my understudy of the Indonesian church haha~ And oh yes, the people are nice ppl there :) slowly, must build relationship with them :) Dat's wat it's all about - relationships~ As what bro Boon always tells us during our drummer meetings, if you wanna get the gig, you gotta learn how to build relationships with the ppl because people would rather play with people whom they are familiar with than with a total stranger no matter how good dat stranger might be ;)
Yeap, but i dun just wanna get the gig. In fact, it's not about dat. I wanna get to know more people and make more frens :) I think dat's the beautiful part of being in a ministry. Being in music has exposed me to groups of people i normally wouldnt come into contact with and yeah, God is opening doors in my life i tell u~ doors which lead to a great destiny ahead of me :D it's exciting~ haha :D cant wait to find out wat more He has in store for me :D
