Acts 2:17
Acts 2:17 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams."
We're indeed living in the last ages of mankind. It won't come as a surprise if the Lord comes back in our generation. Just wanted to share about something my mum experienced some days ago. It was very much like wat the apostles John and Paul experienced. She experienced the Holy Spirit in her dreams one night.
And scripture confirms such an experience. Looking at the last book of the New Testament, Revelation, we can see in chapter 1 verse 10 "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and i heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet," and in the same chapter in verses 16-17 "He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
In chapter 4 verse 2 "Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne."
So the apostle John experienced in the Spirit a vision into the future of the world. He basically saw the end of it all. I wanna higlight one part here which i did in bold. John saw the Lord's countenance was like the sun shining in its strength! He was talking about the glory of the Lord. The Lord's glory was shining as though like the sun in its strength. Now imagine the hottest and brightest sunshine you ever experienced and yeah take that experience and multiply it by many times over, and you'll get a rough idea of how bright the glory of the Lord is.
The apostle Paul also experienced this bright light while on his way on the road to Damascus. In the first part of the book of Acts chapter 9, we can read about how Paul got touched by the Holy Spirit along that road. Here, he was still known as Saul. It says here in verses 3-5, "As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
Yea, and the effect it had on Paul was that he got blind after seeing that bright light, to the extend that it left him blind for 3 days. Acts 9:8-9 "Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank."
My mum experienced something like dat as well. She was telling me how one night she saw a really brilliant bright light in her dreams, and then she felt like an electric shockwave going through her body and a pleasant feeling overwhelmed her and she felt a real tangible sense of peace and comfort! By the way, our prayers regarding our family have been answered and are still being answered by the Lord in His own perfect time!
Well, i was also reminded about my own experience once.. i was lying on my couch, my hands out above my head and i think i was dreaming and i dreamt that i was in church service and i went up to receive the altar call. Pst Kong came over and laid hands upon me and the next thing i knew i fell flat under the power of God and i couldnt move at all. The same electrical current kinda feeling also swept all over me! It was really a good experience :D
Yeah, it's an awesome feeling to experience the presence of the Lord. Dat's why it is very important dat we sought after His presence every moment of our lives no matter what we do. Our thoughts focused on Him, our actions and speech motivated by His Holy Spirit and yeah all dat we are basically yielded to Him~ In His presense, miracles happen and lives change for the better~ There's a healing and restoration, a renewal of mind, spirit and body~
Yeap.. havent updated in a long time now~ So Gloria you must be very happy now! hahha! Yeah, but must get inspiration to blog if not i cant write properly.. heheh~
