Light Amidst The Darkness

Yesterday night just as I was preparing to knock off to bed after a great time of dwelling in the Lord's presence, i got somewhat of a revelation~

After washing up and all, i headed over to the couch in my hall and lay down to sleep there. Yeah i prefer sleeping in the hall cos it's cooler haha. Yeah but i guess last nite was a little bit too cool so i was looking for my blanket..

So it was pitch black in the hall.. i couldnt see anything clearly and my glasses were off. So i was gropping around trying to find the blanket somewhere and then i thought.. yeah why cant i switch on the light and find it.. so i switched on the light and soon found my blanket.. but my vision was still blur lah because of my glasses.

So wat i wanna say is dat.. our lives are sometimes this way.. it's dark and we dun have a clear vision of who we are or wat God wants us to do. Dat's why we need His Word to guide us. Psalms 119:105 says this: 'Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.' The Word of God illuminates our mind when we are stuck in a rut. We can always find the answers to life's question in the bible~

But just studying the Word alone is not enough because we will dry up. We need new vision, new revelation through the spoken Rhema word of God! We need the Holy Spirit in our lives to solve every problem, to move every mountain in our way, to lead us and guide us into new ground. When we worship in the presence of God, He fills us with His peace and joy, and when our heart beats in tandem with His, amazing things happen when we pray :) He speaks to us new words and revelations! As Acts 2:17 says: 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.'


Pastor always tells us, with the Word alone you'll dry up, with the Holy Spirit alone u will blow up, but with both the Word and the Holy Spirit, YOU WILL GROW UP!
