Embarrasin Shit

Today has got to be the most embarrasing shit ever yet experienced. I'd just learnt the new solo i transcribed below and i was playin it along with the music. So, i was like doing my thing, like u know puttin my heart and soul into the music, feeling it, immensing myself in it, you know how when guitarists have dat constipated look on their faces each time they soloed? yeah, i was doin my equivalent on the saxophone.

so basically, i was so into my playing dat i didnt even notice my uncle and aunt walking rite into the hall. I didnt hear any foot steps man! and boy, caught in the act.. bloody embarrassin.. but at least i played dat part well so.. :P

Modes
I was just lookin back at the music scales page link on my blog and i was reading up on modes and this time round, they made a whole lot of better sense. dun think i wanna blog it down now cos it's late and my brains functionin at a slower pace. however, i'd try to fully grasp the whole concept. interesting stuff. just when you thought music was all maj and minor scales.. whoa, there comes the blues and jazz scales, and even more, u have modes of each major and minor scale! there are 12 maj, 24 minor harmonic + melodic, blues scales 7 times 12 = 84, modes of maj scales 7 times 12 another 84, and so on.. and then there's the pentatonics and modal pentatonics.. wah lau eh.. we're talkin bout hundreds of scales here.. HUNDREDS.. it's crazy.. thank god we dun need to memorise them, but understanding how to derive a scale is gd stuff~ gosh, there's alot of math involved in the scales of music.. alot.. it's crazy man..
