Jeff (or Heff if you're Mexican..), Peanut & Ac(phelgm)hmed the Dead Terrorist
Jeff Dunham is a comedy genius in my opinion :) I was first introduced to this guy by my sis who asked me to check him out on Youtube. I'm not the kind to go find funny videos and all on Youtube so i never knew about this guy until i decided to. Well, no regrets.
This guy is one talented dude. He's a ventriloquist. Dat means he can make something 'talk' without him moving his lips. He shows his versatility with his voice through 5 main puppet characters which he uses in his shows. Not only is that impressive, his handling and manipulation of the puppets is OUTSTANDING. Just by observing his puppets, you would have thought dat they had a life of their own! Every single detail is expressed in the puppets actions, poise, facial expressions, body language etc.. And dat is whilst talking without moving your lips ;)
Dat in my opinion, is a highly skilled piece of craft :) So i decided to post 4 youtube videos here, some of my favourites. I am especially biased towards the character Peanut because i think he's the funniest. His verbal sparring with Jose the Mexican Jalepeno is hilarious! Most of the time, it's Jose on the receiving end.
This first video also the first which i watched of this guy. It's with Achmed the Dead Terrorist. I won't say much, but this is one of the more hilarious vids by this guy. You will love this~
This next video was a gig at Washington DC. Check out the way Peanut slams Jose over language, pronunciation and typing on a keyboard.. LOL -
The next two vids are the entire segment of the show featuring Peanut. This was in Santa Ana. Check out how Peanut pronounces the town's name.. I also dig the part where he talked about the signer and the deaf folks which happens around 1:44 in the 2nd vid.. Super funny! Check out how Jeff manipulates the puppet's expressions and all, and you will agree he is a genius ;) Enjoy!
