The Art Of Saxophone Playing

Oh my god... i cant believe this. I didnt expect the books from amazon to arrive dat early~ was thinkin of more like first week of July.. gosh caught me by surprise today when i was on the bus after comin home from the Esplanade when i got an sms from mum informing me of the premature arrival~ yes~

Here in my hand i hold the bible of saxophone playing~ unbelievable cos i havent been able to find this book anywhere at all. Hm, this book wasnt wat i expected. actually thought it was smaller, not as elongated and definitely thicker than wat looks like a primary school math text book. hm guess i got fooled~ cant wait to read this one~ :)

Absolute Beginners: Alto Saxophone

This is another baby~ my god i'm still quite stunned sort of~ wat a timely arrival i must say~ just when i got a msg from boon chye which proceeded to a 10-15 min conversation over the phone at my office. This guy seems really keen on helping me develop myself as a musician and he gives me a sincere impression of really wanting me to excel.

BC: So wat do u actually wanna achieve in this?

Me: Ok i wrote this in my email.. and as far fetched and ridiculous as this may sound, i wanna be a world class saxophonist, performing on the world stage with the world's best.

BC: Alright, so you said u wanna achieve the qualifications to get you overseas to study.. and you dun have any music theory knowledge.. wat are u doin now?

Me: Oh me, i'm in my last year in poly and then i'll be in NS. so give or take, i'll be in NS in about 1 1/2 years time..

BC: ok, tentatively one year huh... hm.. *think think ponder ponder*..*pause*.. hm, ok ben, dat is gonna be one year of intensive trainin and i dun mean one lesson per week.

Me: *pause*... Ok.. so we're talkin bout 3..4 lessons a week?

BC: um, maybe more...

Me: ah.. haha!..hm.. *internalise internalise* i'm for it man~ bring it on~



LOL! wonderful wonderful.. so many happening things in one day~ wah lau wat can i say friday is a damn gd day baby~
