At The End Of It All...
Mercy is the highest revalation of God Himself :)
Mercy is having compassion, kindness and forgiveness.
As so we've studied of the Mercy Seat of God in GOTP.. :)
Matt 6:14-15
14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Rom 12:17-18
17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
I love Pst Tan's preaching. It's truly anointed and convicts the heart :) I remember some weeks ago he preached about forgiveness, teaching us dat we have to forgive the people who've hurt us knowingly, unknowingly, even if it seems they dun deserve to be forgiven, even when we don't feel like it, they still must be forgiven :)
And really, it wun change anything to some ppl even if you forgive them. Some ppl might continue to hurt you time and again even if u have forgiven them 70 times 70. However, we still gotta go on forgiving. Why? Really, it's for our own good..
Don't wanna be out of God's will rite? Don't wanna be not forgiven by God Himself rite? Don't wanna give a foothold to the devil rite?
Dat's why we gotta forgive :) when we forgive others, God Himself forgives us and wipes away our sin from the record :) And God is very good at forgetting stuff which needs to be forgotten :D
Forgiving others, blessing our enemies, prevents our hearts from hardening towards God! And dat is so impt.. For how can a hard heart receive anything from God? Impossible... :)
When we confess our sins and forgive others, our relationship with God, our standing with Him is made right once again :) And by dat, He can once again use us, mold us and make us and we can continue on dat journey of becoming more Christ-like :)
Some ppl have apologised to me today, even when they weren't the ones i was angry at. So dat set me thinking abit.. and i decided to do this:
To all who felt dat for some reason or another, i was posting about you, i just wanna let u know dat watever happened, has past.. and dat's wat it is and will remain as is.. yes past. I forgive and i'm gonna try to forget over time :) Not easy i know, cos i have pissed ppl off before and it doesnt take overnite to overlook the weaknesses, to repair the relationship. But, i forgive :)
I'm not exactly the nicest person around. i'm not exactly the most tolerant. i know dat sometimes i dun have a very gd attitude towards others. We're all human, borned with weakness and disease. So God, be merciful towards me a sinner.
I must move on with my walk and not let stuff like dat overtake me, eat me up. I shall not trade my destiny, my walk, my life, my all in Christ because of a small issue. I must learn to forgive and move on :) show mercy. And i will do so :)
God, thank You for Your spoken word :) i obey. Forgive me even as i forgive others who've trespass against me. Renew a right spirit within me. Change me evermore! I want to be right with You again. I lean on You, i rely on Your strength. Help me live at peace with others as much as possible and give me the strength to press on in life, to finish the race, to end well! To do Your will! I look to You Jesus. Take my hand and lead me to the rivers of life :D Thank You :)
Wow, at this moment i am reminded of wat i prayed just last nite! About the right kinda ppl coming into my life? whom we can encourage, exhalt and spur one another on in our race of life? etc etc? YEA, i was just reminded about this cos not long ago today, God brought someone exactly like dat into my life and i thank God for this person!
