Enough Is Enough..
Something i have learnt, thru theory and experience over the past many days...
Have you ever really wondered who your true frens are?
Really, the difference between a true friend in need and a bloodsucking parasite is really paper thin :)
Sometimes i really really really wonder.. when people think of me, is it because they really only know me thru what i can do for them? I wonder, if i didnt have a car, didnt stay in a huge house, would people really consider me a fren?
Well, i think i'm beginning to understand people much better. The past 3 weeks in SOT have truly opened up my eyes :)
I've probably made a grave mistake by opening up my heart to ppl whom i THOUGHT i could trust, whom i THOUGHT dat i could rely on when i needed them.. Evidently i was wrong and i paid the price for it :) But once bitten, twice shy now..
You know, i have been praying, God give me Your wisdom and understanding and knowledge. And true enough, the prayers are coming to past :)
I'm gonna be VERY VERY careful from now on whom i open up my life to :) Seems dat i can no longer trust ppl who call me their frens. Sure, you may THINK i am your fren.. Well guess wat, you can carry on feeling dat way. As for me, i am distancing myself from you. I may smile at you, greet you, talk to you even. BUT I WILL NEVER AGAIN MAKE THE MISTAKE OF OPENING UP MY HEART TO YOU.
Life is too precious to waste it on things dat are not worth. Indeed, don't cast your pearls before swine.
Pst Meng put it best when he taught us the analogy of the heart.. when you hear wat ppl actually say to you, those very same words show the condition of their heart :) Make no mistake about it.
He was telling the class about an experience he had with some person in church who was basically a hypocrite trying to destroy his life. This person came up to him (pst) and put him in his place, telling pst dat oh this is not the way to do things, you should be doing this, why you do this? etc etc. All the while this person peppered every little statement with 'But i want to let you know ah pastor.. i still love you la..' and he would go on and on about this and that..
So pst Meng just smiled back at him and nodded. But in his heart he was like, i will never let you near my life to destroy me!
True enough, i can understand wat he is saying :)
Let me tell you, the real reason why i dun wanna fellowship with you, is really, i dun feel any sort of edification watsoever :)
Your words have nothing positive about them.
You may think dat you're joking around me, etc.. but watever la, it's not funny~
In fact i was praying thruout my drive dat all will be alright, but you had to spoil it when i arrived.. The first words you muttered to me were of dat same nature... I'm disappointed la really i am.
If it's my car you're interested in, i've got 3 solutions for you. Buy it. If not, go get a car license and buy ur own car. OR go find some other fren who drives a car like mine or something.
I feel dat being in your company is really a waste of my time.
Fellowship shuld be edifying, should be encouraging, should be constructive and meaningful. Unfortunately.... Haiz...
If you couldnt already tell by now, YES my love language is WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT. Let me remind you about what pst has taught us, dat our words frame out world. I hope the framing of your world is going well :)
I am a very very generous person. I offer myself to others at my own expense. Just let me remind you again, dat it is of my own choice, my own perogative to give anybody a ride in my car. For your info, read the news. Oil prices have hit $120. Dat's not the point. As long as i can afford to own a car and drive it, i will continue to WILLINGLY offer ppl a ride home.
BUT, don't assume dat it is a 理所当然 kinda thing. DON'T EVER EVER take advantage of me, and treat me like as if i owe it to you to give you a ride home or watever. I've got news for you: I DON'T.
You dun pay me a wage alright? You have no right to demand anything from me. It is of my free will dat i offer you a ride. You want a free ride everytime? GO FIND URSELF A CHAUFFEUR!
Carter, i totally understand how you feel towards the people who take advantage of you :) i can totally emphatize with dat.
Life is indeed too short. I know my destiny. I'm gonna push towards dat goal :) If you've gotten a precious revelation from God about your life, DON'T SHARE IT WITH THE DOGS AND SWINE! Why should they be given a taste of it and spit it right back at ur face? IT'S NOT WORTH IT!
I'm gonna look for people who share the same destiny and whose words are filled with grace, encouragement, exhaltation, and mercy. Indeed, hang out with eagles and you become one, hang out with turkeys and you end up on the dinner table. Iron sharpens iron. Anyway, to the people whom i am talking about, you are forgiven :) But i'm afraid our relationship will never be the same again~
I just wanna end with this scripture dat really spoke volumes into me:

知恵のある人のそばに いれば 知恵ある人になり、悪人のそばに いれば 悪に染まります。

Be careful who you let into your life :) It could make or BREAK you :)
God, please bring the RIGHT ppl into my life, that we may be able to spur each other on in this long race, encouraging one another, helping one another, esteeming one another. God, help me to guard my heart against wolves. Help me oh God, to find the right people in life whom i can confide in, whom i can rely on, whom i can serve, whom i can be a blessing to, whom i can be mentored under :) God, bring the right people into my life. In Jesus' name, amen :)
