Summing Up Christmas 2007
WOW!
Yeah dats the first thing on my mind when i recall christmas this year.. :P What can i say really? There's so much to say and i dunno how to put it fully in words BUT.. lemme just say dat this has got to be one of the most unforgettable christmases i have ever experienced :)
Why? Well.. for starters.. it was a VERY VERY tiring christmas.. The 1 week or so prior to the first christmas service.. i barely slept more than 5 hours each day! and towards the last few days of drama rehearsal at expo.. it was worse.. BUT, all for a great cause!
This year, i think i have been really stretched in my role as music director for the christmas drama. Why? Cos this time round, instead of just pushing buttons and making everything blend in seamlessly, i had a direct hand in creating some of the music and sfx tracks! And i was also overall in charge of not only the music direction in Expo but also had to oversee that in Jurong. And boy i tell u, it was a tough job man! haha! Wah, i've never been so tired working with the drama team before, honest.
I was tired before yes.. but not till the point where i fell real sick on Christmas day itself where we had 2 performances! I was running a temperature, my whole body was screaming in pain and numbness at the same time (i felt i was gonna collapse at any given point), and i was struggling to maintain my focus and sharpness with each passing minute. When the last show was finally over, i was really relieved and i just wanted to cry it all out, all the stuff i was enduring within..~
This time round, not only did i manage 2 decks of music, but i also used a 3rd deck.. YES, for a record breaking first, i used a 3rd deck to play some tracks! So yeah i have officially become adrian's best fren sort of, cos instead of an extra finger, i now am required to have an extra hand to play the 3rd deck :D And, i NEARLY became part-time Stage Manager, calling the shots on every aspect of production, and i NEARLY acted okk.. Wow... Capacity increased siah... hahha!
And, i just wanna say dat this year, i am now officially a part of a ministry which i never auditioned for at all, but i made the cut by virtue of my volunteery service for 5 productions spanning across 2 1/2 years :) And God is good la! More than just being a part of the Drama Ministry, i realise that i feel more like i am part of the drama FAMILY :) And for the first time in a long while, i experienced what i call family togetherness in a ministry :)
Having been a casual part of D.M for such a while, i've grown so close to many of the veterans and the leaders of D.M dat my life has been changed significantly :) I've never enjoyed serving in ministry as much as i have till i experienced what it is like to be part of this wonderful family :) And i am thankful for DAT. This is one experience and relationship which i will never give up for anything else :) Ppl are called to certain ministries, some others join one because they dunno what else is better, some just dun have a clue as to wat they want so they pick any ministry.
But, to be in a ministry whereby you can experience closeness and family togetherness, where everyone looks out for each other, where you really enjoy serving in ur role, and where it truly is so much fun and where ppl are united in heart and spirit.. Man i tell you, that is a ministry whereby you will certainly grow strong in. And i think this year, i have found it in the ppl of D.M :) Let's just say dat, i will quit any other ministry, but i will NEVER say no to the drama ministry :) Yea, dat's how much it has changed my life :)
And there are some really strong and powerful key ppl in this ministry who have shaped my life one way or another:
Sandy and Jaslyn our directors and bosses :D I think you both are THE MOST POWER PACKED women in the world whom i know!! Girl power! Hahah!
Sandy, i admire the way you handle so many things under immense pressure! Wow, if i had half of your resilience and strength, wow, i'd be so blessed!
Jaslyn, for the way you run the show even when you're carrying baby after baby for production after production! Haha! WOW! You are the epitomy of the strength of a woman :D haha!
Gary, you did a great job as Stage Manager for JW! :D I also wanna say dat, you were the very first few who made me feel welcome and part of the drama family :D Dat i will never forget :) Yeah, you were one of those who offered and still offer your smile to everyone :) You make me feel real welcomed :) Thanks bro.

From Wee Lee - "Tx bro, it's really our great joy n blessings to have u on e team. I couldnt have done it without u too! Tx a million! Until easter bro, cya!"
Wee Lee, my SM in Expo. Man, you are awesome la~ Seeing how you graduate from one role of glory to another (Joseph to Jesus), and now serving as SM for this christmas? Wow! You the man bro! Indeed with Jesus, everything is possible hahaha! I'm looking forward to easter next year already! It'll be soon i bet :P This time round, i hope i get to act alongside with you hah!

Adrian, you are indeed THE zai one :D haha! All i did was merely assist you. But you always prove to everyone time and again in each production dat you will without fail outdo yourself with each role you play :D I totally enjoyed watching ur performance and i am glad to be able to have a part to play in dat :D it was awesome :D You are awesome bro!

Bern.. wow.. i was already very touched when i read weelee's and adrian's smses first. And when it came to yours, i really teared :) I think you know why too, cos it's an incredible feeling to experience such love in a family like this. You are one of the most thoughtful bros i know in DM, always looking out for the rest and for our bosses :) And always standing in the gap every late night when rehearsals run long into the wee hours :) Thanks for your frenship man :) And let's do tennis in Expo again soon! haha!
Yeah, well there are so many ppl i wanna thank :) Neo, Darryl, Maria, Irenaus and John :) Thank you all for availing yourselves to be part of a greater cause :) I always tell ppl dat whereever we go, we are ambassadors, of ourselves, of our ministry and most imptly our Lord :) You guys have indeed proved yourselves to be excellent men and women of Strikeforce, Music and of God! Thank you so much, we all at drama really appreciate your sacrifices for this production :) We couldnt have done it without your assistance :) I hope you really enjoyed urself and have grown from this experience! I look forward to working with you all like this again! :D
