Out Of Love

I had a really good day :) After coming back from the musician's training class, gabriel and myself went to ah mei kaya just below my house and yeah we had a great time sharing and encouraging each other :)

I've been pretty bothered about a matter dat has been weighing on my heart for quite some time and finally, God directed someone into my life with whom i can easily share with :) So thanks so much for listening gab, and really thank God for you la :)I'm really grateful dat i can share this matter with you :D Get it off my chest :) So let's work towards becoming the person dat God wants us to be!

There are some things i really learnt alot today while talking with Gabriel, having level 5 type of communication :) Sharing some really personal stuff close to our hearts and all~ And through this conversation, i really got to know this great brother much better and yea he is a really great guy la. Although alot of ppl make fun of you and all Gab, but yeah you really are the man la :) Sooolid la!

There are things in life where you just cant share any old how with just anyone :) But when there are ppl whom you can share with, thank God for these people who are there to offer you a listening ear and great Godly perspectives and advice :) I guess there was much we talked about, but one of the things i caught from this time of sharing was dat, in whatever we do, let it be done out of love :)

Sometimes we do things with ulterior motives in our mind, we do something for someone because we expect something in return etc.. But the moment we let pure, unadulterated and unconditional love guide the way we do things in life, people start standing up and taking notice. Like bro boon mentioned today in the class, you are not good until your neighbour is as good as you. Well this is also the Strikeforce's mantra~ The creed we live by~

Yes, i am not good, until i can influence someone to be as good as me or even surpass me :) And bro boon cited examples like, well if the guitarist sucks, well then pull him up, bring him up to another level! I mean, where we musicians are concerned rite, we can always say so and so's playing cannot make it, always make mistakes, cannot flow, got no musical sense, got attitude problem etc etc, yeah we can comment and comment till the cows come home really.. BUT, wat are we doing to help our fellow musician in ministry become better? So, remember, if you're talented, and good at wat you do, but you cant make your fellow drummer, or bassist or keyboardist or guitarist or wat not as good as yourself, then really, you are only good for yourself :) Just dat, nothing else. And so the question is, how good can dat be really?

I think today i really sit up and ask myself just how much influence i have in the lives of other musicians in church.. Am i contributing to the ministry? And not just playing chords, notes, rhythm or grooves? Hmm...

Well, anyway, thru this conversation, i think i really got to know myself better, affirm the things which i believe in and hold on to in life~ And yeah gabriel, after talking to you, i realise you're more than wat your exterior deems you to be :) All the cruel jokes about you and all? You're beyond those la :) Today, i learn to hold u in higher regard dude~ Thanks again :D
