Isaiah 40:30-31 (AMP)
30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted; 31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
The bible says many are called but few are chosen. I choose; therefore i am :D I choose to fly high~ I was listening to a sermon on a CD which my mum was playing from her church and the preacher said this, "How do you know you are chosen by God? How do you know you are called? Simple, when you CHOOSE to be the one God has chosen."
Yes, so i choose to be God's chosen, God's blessed chosen one :) The fact is as children of God, we are all called but not all are chosen why? Simply because the ones who are called did not choose to be chosen :) WITH God, all things are possible as according to the Word (Luke 1:37), so God gives us the freedom of choice/freewill, to choose for ourselves whether to be a part of the destiny He has laid out for us, or to be out of it. Just like the virgin Mary when she said these words, 'Let it be unto me according to Your word'. She chose to work WITH God, to make all things possible :D Just look at this:
Luke 1:28,30,35,38
28 And he (the angel Gabriel) came to her and said, Hail, O favored one [[w]endued with grace]! The Lord is with you! [x]Blessed (favored of God) are you before all other women!
30 And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found grace ([y]free, spontaneous, absolute favor and loving-kindness) with God.
See all the bold words? Yeah, we can see dat Mary was chosen above all other women to be the miracle virgin to carry the Saviour of the world, Jesus Christ. And then Mary was surprised because she did not have any sexual relations with any man, so she was confused to how she could become pregnant with child. And so the angel Gabriel replied:
35 Then the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a shining cloud]; and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing (Offspring) which shall be born of you will be called the Son of God.
Yeah, you see in the bold words here dat the grammatical tense here is in the form of the Simple Future Tense and it's function is this: The simple future refers to a time later than now, and expresses facts or certainty. So therefore, Gabriel is telling her that yes she WILL get pregnant, she WILL conceive, but at the current moment it was not to be. So then, when did she become the chosen one? Look in verse 38:
38 Then Mary said, Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord; let it be done to me according to what you have said. And the angel left her.
LET IT BE DONE TO ME ACCORDING TO WHAT YOU HAVE SAID :) Let it be unto me, according to your word! It is at this point, dat Mary becomes the chosen virgin mother of Jesus Christ! At this point, she CHOSE to be the chosen one which God has called her to be, to bring forth Jesus Christ into the world for the salvation of mankind! Amazing?? The power of CHOICE!
So, you are wat you choose! I choose; therefore i am! Our lives are the total summation of the choices we make. The more we make God choices, the more we find ourselves closer to achieving our destiny in God. The more we make our own choices by ourselves, the more we backslide from that destiny ;) So let's all make wise choices in life :) You never know where one right choice will lead u to in life. Dat choice, no matter how seemingly insignificant, could be that difference which opens the door to a greater destiny in Christ :D Yeah, this is my revelation today~ I hope as u read it, you will be blessed :) God bless u :D
