Running With The Vision~

Yesterday was awesome for me :D TRULY AWESOME :D I got up close and personal with arguably one of the world's best drummers in the area of latin jazz. This guy is not only one heck of a drummer, he is also very friendly, cheerful and obliging in person :) Not to mention dat he has a great smile to boot :D This guy is the extremely talented Horacio Hernandez~ Check out some of the pics i took of his drum setup and all~


This was taken during the autograph session. This guy is a real joker man.. i bought an 8 inch tom skin and since it was a Remo rite, he couldnt sign it without getting into trouble because he was an Evans endorser~ haha! So he blanked out the Remo logo and drew an evans logo on the skin instead and wrote some really cool things on the skin! Hahaha!



Check out the setup man!!! WHOA!! His setup has got only about 8 cymbals if i'm not wrong.. still 3 lesser than my dream setup lol! But of cos, more cymabls dun make u a better drummer, 6-7 hours of serious butt kicking practice each day however DO :)



One of the things dat really fascinated me was this contraption here! It's a footbell played with the left foot :D I WANT ONE TOO!!! I will DEFINITELY get one of this~ *grinz*



This is how he set up the foot bell, Hihat and double bass slave pedals accordingly~ pretty cool eh?? hahah :D all side by side looking menacing :D



I like this pic cos of all the mass of cowbells and jamblocks around the area~ you can create some really cool afro cuban styles with those different sounds! awesome :D i'm gonna get my own set of jam blocks and cowbells and practise my afro cuban nonsense :D Hhaha!
