The Crafty Harlot
I was just reading a really interesting passage in the bible found in the 7th chapter of the Proverbs~ From verses 6 - 27.
In this passage, the author Solomon recounts an incident whereby he witnesses from his window, a young man lacking wisdom and giving in to his lust. A prostitute seduces him and he gives in to her advances. And in verses 21-23, the bible says: 21 "With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him. 22 Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks, 23 Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, He did not know it would cost his life."
I was very curious especially about verse 23 where it says, 'Till an arrow struck his liver' and 'He did not know it would cost his life.' This whole chapter tells us more than just a story about a man falling prey to a harlot's seduction. It tells us dat the path of evil will lead to death, to hell. None of whom who walk this path will inherit the Kingdom as is clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." But instead of looking at it from a macro view, i took a literal meaning with the passage and this is wat i found..
'an arrow struck his liver..' so the bible says :) And i think this dude got more than he bargained for. I think he contracted a serious case of STD and this particular one KILLED HIM. And he DID NOT know about it until it was too late to save his life. I believe he contracted Hepatitis~ :) This is wat i found out about this disease from http://www.coolnurse.com/hepatitis_b.htm :

Yeap so there you go, just an interesting observation which i made~ Hehe, so yeah even the bible talks about STDs and Hepatitis~ It's pretty interesting wat u can find in the holy book :D And yeah if u wanna find out more about wat cirrhosis of the liver is? So, the way of the harlot leads to eternal damnation~ So we always gotta walk in the light, make sure we don't deviate from the narrow way of righteousness because broad is the way that leads to destruction and many ppl unfortunately choose to walk dat way thinking it is the easier route. When you take the easy way out of things.. you find more trouble ahead of you :)
