And I Called This Place Jehovah Jireh

Wow� Dr John Avanzini really changed so much of the way I saw things after last
night�s service. The whole service was saturated with the powerful presence of God!

I�ll never ever look at life the same way again�the things we own are not ours at
all but God�s. We�re just stewards of it. His main point during the whole service
was that a vision does not come into existence when it happens in the natural realm.

For example, a person does not get healed of a disease the moment a faith healer
lays hands on him to be healed. No. The healing started when the person already
purposed in his heart that he WILL BE HEALED. The laying on of hands by the faith
healer is merely the manifestation of the faith that the person had!

I felt the message was so appropriate and applicable to me. Another example, as you
now would know, after my widespread publicity attempts, I have been posted to the
SAF Bands, my vocation being a musician! Now, being a musician in the SAF was part
of the 3 part vision which I wrote down on the back of the envelope some weeks ago.
The other two was a desire to serve as a musician in church and the mission field.

As I had learnt last night, the point at which I received my posting online on
Friday morning 1000 hrs WAS NOT the point where my existence as an SAF musician
came into being, no. That was the MANIFESTATION part of it~ The point where I
became an SAF musician, was weeks back when I wrote on the back of that envelope
that I knew and I knew and I knew, that GOD WOULD PROVIDE! When I wrote down that
vision and desire, by faith unseen, I claimed that promise from God!

As Hebrews 11:1 says, �Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen.� That�s exactly what faith is! It�s not faith if you can see
it! The point where I decided by faith that I was gonna be an SAF musician, that
was the point of my existence as one!

Dr John calls that place where the point of existence comes about as Jehovah Jireh
or The Lord will provide. Another shocker I learnt last night was that Jehovah
Jireh is NOT one of the names of God. It was never mentioned in the bible as a name
of God BUT it was the NAME OF A PLACE that Abraham called after God spared Isaac
his son from the slaughter. (Gen 22:14)

Dr John also said that any place can be your Jehovah Jireh � the place whereby you
know that you know that you know that GOD WILL PROVIDE no matter what! At that
place when you firmly put your foot down and claim by faith, that place becomes
your Jehovah Jireh because that is where your vision comes into existence!

Personally i liked the part whereby he was talking about his wife. I mean, that sort
of amount of faith really blew me over! He was telling us how he was so attracted to
her one day when he first saw her and that he had the opportunity to dance with her
twice. And after that dance, he told his good friend that someday he was gonna marry
her! Wow! Now that point was his Jehovah Jireh! Wow, i can have that sorta faith too!

Wow, now I can understand what was going on when I wrote my visions down, I can
understand what was going down the day I responded to the call to join Bible School
and serve in the mission field, now I can understand what was going on when I
decided I wanted to be a leader in this church!

Dr John then closed with a challenge to us to be stewards of the things we were
given stewardship over. Every single tithe (Lev 27:30) AND offering (1 Chro 29:14,
16) belongs to the Lord! Psalm 24:1 says that the earth belongs to the Lord and all
its people as well. Everything in it!

My perspective has totally taken a shift, now I know that my sax doesn�t belong to
me, I�m merely given supervision over it, to care for it, to use it properly. My
musical talents don�t belong to me, it is God who gives me the right to use it for
His glory. Every single thing, money and knowledge and such belong to God, I only
have these because God gives me NOT ownership, but STEWARDSHIP over these things.

So Dr John challenged us to be a steward over the Lord�s money for the next year,
each time asking Him how much we should RETURN (NOT give) to Him in tithes and
offerings, and test God now in this, that He will open the windows of heaven and
pour forth a blessing so numerous that there will not be enough room to receive it!
