For The Glory Of God
Wat are our motives in all that we do? For wat? When we eat, drink, breathe, fast..
ANYTHING..
What are our motives? We must do everything with the right motives.
1 Corinthians 10:31 says, "Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do,
do all for the glory of God."
I begin to realise dat in many things in my life, i do them with the wrong motives.
The moment we embark on something, anything for that matter, and we FAIL to give
glory to God, that means our motives when we first started out.. are already WRONG.
When we pray.. wat are our motives? When we fast, what are our motives?? Is it
praying for ourselves?? fasting for ourselves?? OR FOR THE GLORY OF GOD??
I've realised dat indeed i've taken many things for granted.. wat i eat.. the
money given to me.. wat i fast for.. when i breathe.. etc..
Pst Kong was saying n the BS of the book of Zechariah dat when u fast, it is because
you see your heavenly Father grieving for those who are lost.. you fast because
you are concerned that God has lost a son or daughter to sin.. How many of us
have siblings, parents, relatives or friends who are non believers? How many of
us know of a brother or sister who has fallen and backsliden into sin?
I know i do.. and listenin to the Bible Study at this point.. i just felt compelled
to blog this down.. to remind myself and us who read this, to get our motives right
before the Lord :) Dat in whatever we do, when we eat or drink, fast or pray, dat
we may do so, giving God all the glory!
