New Ligatures And A Method Book

Cant believe that i'm gonna be owning not one but two ligatures! Just a few days ago, i was
given an OLEGature ligature and i've been waiting for the Francois Louis lig to arrive in the
mail... both are pretty good ligs but i've not gotten the chance to try out the FL lig yet. Tried
the olegature and it really opened up the sound of the sax! Pretty awesome i would say.

Ordered a method book from amazon.com also entitled 'Universal Method for Saxophone'.
This book is like thick man.. ultra thick book filled with technique exercise after technique
exercise. Classical technique stuff, which is really good cos playing classical really builds
good technique. There're like all sorts of techniques to train the tone, tonguing, speed,
slurring, staccato.. pretty impressive book~ it's gonna take a really long time to finish
reading the whole book and after dat, you can turn the book upside down and read it all
over again!

Gonna check out this DVD lent to me by my instructor.. Joe Lovano's improv stuff~ gotta be
pretty good stuff :D
