SOME Improvement
Yesterday, i came to school forgetting there wasnt any medilaw tutorials this week (see how much
i love the subject?? *grinz*). So i thought shucks, i got like 4 hours to burn before doc pro at 3pm.
But all was not to waste because i hung out at the library for those hours. Took out my dear book
of classical etudes and started sightreading piece after piece in my mind.
The amazing thing was, for once, i started becoming pretty familiar with the note placements and
didnt make much mistakes misreading them. So i got my Fs and Es at the correct space or line in
the staff etc etc. I found dat i could only do this if i was concentrating very hard on the piece. So
anyway, i decided to get even more sight-reading material today when i went to Music Plaza
Yamaha. Got myself these two books:
I actually have already gotten Volume 1 of Time Pieces for Eb Saxophone which is this:
The "Scales and Arpeggios for Saxophone" one is really great because it lists down every single
scale and arpeggio and stuff like dominant sevenths, diminished sevenths, thirds etc etc. Damn
good to practise technique :D I was pretty happy with today's purchase which cost me just $30
bucks which is reasonable. Saw alot more other good stuff which i will get in the future when i
go back to Music Plaza. Now if only one thing was to spoil my day, it will be gettin sick with sinus..
bloody hell....
