YAS 82Z Part II
Oh yeah~ haha~ call me a happy man~ i just got confirmation about the sax~ gonna collect it tmrw evening~ thanx to boon chye, i actually got it at a discount~ so dat was a whole lot better~
he tested it against his own Mark VI. His Mark VI sounded a little darker and the YAS 82Z was on the bright side of tone~ the keywork and action was superbly quick and responsive and there weren't any leaks detected~ so much for yamaha's quality control eh? they are dat damn consistent~
apparently, this sax makes playin of the higher notes or altissimo much easier to achieve~ Yamaha saxes, esp the custom Z models are definitely not to be trifled with~ the sound has even been compared to dat of the legendary Selmer Mark VI saxes but with much improved keywork and action and extra features not found on models of the 60s~ even boon chye himself was pretty satisfied with the model~
now comes the quest for a mouthpiece dat can bring out dat killer sound from this marvelous piece of fine art work~ hm.....
Everything Must Change
Everything must change
Nothing stays the same
Everyone willl change
No one stays the same
The young become the old
Mysteries do unfold
For that's the way of time
Nothing and no one goes unchanged
There are not many things in life
You can be sure of...
Except, rain comes from the clouds
Sun light up the sky
Hummingbirds do fly
Winter turns to spring
The wounded heart will heal
But never much to soon
But everything must change
The young become the old
Mysteries do unfold
But that's the way that time
Nothing & no one goes unchanged
There are not many things in life
You can be sure of...
Except, rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
Hummingbirds do fly
Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
Hummingbirds do fly
Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
Hummingbirds do fly
Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
Music makes me cry
Man, it's once again the Sanborn version of this dat totally brings out the mood of the song~ u can hear this on the 1995 album Pearls
