My Ox Goad
After the building fund period is over, i will definitely go back to school. No doubt about it :)
After regurgitating the idea in my mind for like the past so many weeks, i think the confirmation couldnt have come better than last Sunday when Pst Kong preached. No matter wat, i'm surely going back to education. Get a degree.
Met huiling last night to discuss some of the policies i bought from her and this issue came up~ She was quite surprised when she heard of the plans i have made for the coming years. Well, i think most people would. Nobody would ever think dat i'd dream of getting a degree now dat i've started working full time, even more so a degree in language for dat matter.
I fell in love with music at a pretty young age.. maybe sometime when i was in late primary to early secondary school. And then, in sec school, i've always did well in English except Chinese which i didnt quite put as much effort in as i would have liked. But i started liking language during my last years as a secondary sch student and it was actually the humanities which got me going. Somewhere around this time was when i first started learning Japanese for the next 1 1/2 years or so, did two JLPT tests and scored pretty well! Haha! And when i came to study mass communications later, i did a basic course in French and from then on it was etched in my mind dat one of my key strengths is a good grasp of the knowledge of language.
So, does dat mean i'd actually pursue a higher education in language rather than music? The answer is indefinite :) I'm pretty passionate about music, and language is on par with dat. And i'd do both when i can :) But in this season, my whole focus is set on one of the two.
Wat am i gonna do with a language degree? Man, there's lots i could do with a degree like that :) I could teach. I could translate. I could be a bridge dat can link two different worlds :D And so much more, the possibilities and the opportunities are boundless :D It's a powerful ox goad ;) Well, i'll kill more than just 600 philistines with dat haha!
I've set my heart towards it and I'll keep praying about it. Next year, without a doubt, is gonna be one of the best years in my life yet! I'm definitely looking forward to the days to come :)
