I have to blog this down if not i will never rest in peace.

Washington. Yes, There is 'Washington D.C' - a CITY in the US where D.C stands for District of Columbia, AND 'Washington' - a STATE of the US.

Now, Washington D.C IS NOT located in the state of Washington which is the North-Western most state of the United States of America, in other words, it is the state at the upper left corner of the US. Seattle IS in the STATE of Washington.

As for Washington D.C, it is located in the eastern board of the United States, in the state of WEST VIRGINIA, which borders the state of Virginia and with Pennsylvania above it. And New York city is in the state of NEW YORK :)

The reason i'm saying this is because of a confusion today in preschi class when there was a word to be translated called, 'Washington', it was unclear whether a certain event was held in the STATE of Washington as opposed to the CITY Washington D.C. It is very impt therefore that the correct difference be made, i.e Washington State and Washington D.C city.

Because if you make that mistake of thinkin dat these two places are one and thee same, you will be making a mistake and you'll be off course like 2000 miles :) dat's the approximate distance betw D.C and Washington State :)
