Quotes of the day
Losers use their life's situations as excuses to fail and winners use their life's situations as their reasons to succeed.
If you want to be successful in life, then all you need to do is to be a copycat and do the things successful people do.
I don't want to be a rich man's son..I want to be that rich man.

Different Types Of Dreamers
1. Dreamers who dream in the Past.
Rich dad said there are many people whose greatests achievements in life are behind them. Al Bundy of TV's sitcom, Married With Children is a classic example of someone whose dreams are behind him. For those who may not be familiar with the show, Al Bundy is a grown man who still re-lives his days in high school, when he was a football star who scored four touchdowns in one game. That is an example of someone who continues to dream in the past.
Rich dad would say, "A person who dreams in the past, is a person whose life is over. They need to create a dream in the future, in order to come back to life."
It is not only ex-football stars that live in the past. Other examples of people whom still live in the past are people reveling in their good grades, being prom king or queen, or that they graduated from a prestigious university, or their days in the military. In other words their best days are behind them.
My own personal comments:
Tsk tsk tsk..yes..this is damn LOSER-ISH..get a life already...no point gettin a certificate and in this time of uncertainty and all, hope to get a gd payin job..get real ppl and wake up and smell the coffee~ this world isnt the same 20, 30 years back! It's very sad to look back on those years when you see yourself earning a diploma and probably some overseas degree only to realise that damned..the money dat you'll be earning is LIMITED no matter how big it may seem, and your time is taken away from you becos you have to SLOG the rest of your life earning dat damned 5 figure salary ;) damn sad life if you'd ask me~ no time, not enough money..sheesh..with those 2 things you could be empowered to do so much more meaningful stuff dat you could ever dream possible.
2. Dreamers who dream only small dreams.
Rich dad said, "This type of dreamer will dream only small dreams because they want to feel confident they can achieve them. The problem is, even though they know they can achieve them, they never do achieve them."
This type of dreamer did not make much sense to me until one day i asked this man, "If you had all the money in the world, where would you travel to?"
His reply was, "I would fly to California to visit my sister. I haven't seen her in 14 years and I would love to see her. Especially before her children gets any older. That would be my dream vacation."
I then said, "But that would only cost you about $500 dollars. Why don't do that today?"
"Oh I will, but not today. I'm just too busy right now."
After meeting this individual, I realized that this type of dreamer is more common than I thought. These people live their lives having dreams they know they can achieve, but they never seem to get around to living their dreams. Later in life you can hear them say, "You know, I should have done that years ago, but I just never got around doing it."
My rich dad said, "This type of dreamer is often the most dangerous. They live like turtles, tucked away in their quiet padded room. If you knock on the shell and peek in one of the openings, they often lunge out and bite you."
The lesson is let dreaming turtles dream. Most aren't going anywhere and that is perfectly fine with them.
My own personal comments:
Hm..let dreaming turtles..dream...hm..
Unfortunately and very very unfortunately, many of us fall in this category. And we never get to realise dat dream no matter how seemingly achievable dat dream was..sad..very very sad..these are the people who find all sorts of excuses to NOT achieve dat dream of theirs... Well..as they always say, if you aint gonna help yourself, no one gonna help you~
3. Dreamers who have achieved theirs dreams and have not set a new dream.
A friend of mineonce said to me, "Twenty years ago, I dreamed of becoming a doctor. I became a doctor and now I am just bored with life. I enjoy being a doctor, but something is missing."
This is an example of some who have successfully achieved their dream and continues to live in the dream. Boredom usually is a sign that it is time for a new dream.
My rich dad would say, "Many people are in professions they dreamed of in high school. The problem is they have been out of high school for years. It is time for a new dream and a new adventure."
My own personal comments:
Now this reminds me of my own father..I dun believe that he is contented with his achievements in his business even though he claims to be.
4. Dreamers who dream big dreams but do not have a plan on how to achieve them..so they wind up achieving nothing. I think we all know someone in this category.
These are people who say, "I've just had a major breakthrough. Let me tell you about my new plan."
Or,
"This time things will be different."
Or,
"I'm turning over a new leaf."
Or,
"I'm going to work harder, pay off my bills, and invest."
Or,
"I've just heard of a new company coming to town and they are looking for someone with my qualifications. This could be my big break."
My rich dad said,"Very few people achieve their dreams on their own. A person like this tries to achieve a lot, but they try and do it on their own. A person like this should keep dreaming big, find a plan, and find a team that will help them make their dreams come true."
My own personal comments:
I believe we all know people who are like dat - ambitious, determined, full of zeal and the likes and who have great faith in themselves dat they can achieve the impossible, BUT they sorely lack in the area of humility. As the old saying goes, "United, we stand. Divided, we fall. What use is a single telephone when there is no other to complement it? The key phrase here is "2 OR MORE". One will never survive on its on, but two can keep each other warm. Building a team with 2 or more will result in a chain reaction dat will keep things growin more and more. The bottomline is: in order to become successful in life, you need others to help you become successful. There is no way one can become successful all by himself. He needs others in his quest to better his life.
5. Dreamers who dream big dreams, achieve those dreams, and go on to dream bigger dreams.
I think that most of us would like to be this kind of person. I know I do.
One of the most refreshing things that happened to me while looking into some of the network marketing businesses was that I found myself dreaming even bigger dreams. The business encourages people to dream big dreams and achieve their big dreams. Many traditional businesses don't want people to dream personal dreams. Too many times I meet people who have friends or work for businesses that actively kill a person's dreams. I support the network marketing industry because it is an industry made up of people who truly want people to dream big dreams and then it supports those people in having their dreams come true.
If you are a person with big dreams and are also a person who would love to support others in achieving their big dreams, then the network marketing business is definitely a business for you. A business and people who help others have their dreams come true, is a value worth working for.
My own personal comments:
whoa ho..~ Yes this is one huge decision that i made which has made me see many things in a different light. Back then, the only thing i knew of was the corporate world, the rat race, the world whereby you have to slog your guts out, a dog eat dog world out there where you come face to face with ethical issues, compromising sometimes on your own principles! A world whereby you have to tread on everybody to get to the top.
During this whole holiday period, i've been thinkin about stuff like why am i even studyin for a diploma? Wat good will dat be for me in the future? Does gettin a dip or degree really gonna make my life easier?
I've been askin myself, wat are the greatest things which i would really desire to have and almost instantaneously, the reply was everything dat i don't have right now..
If there's one thing that i've really learnt this holiday, this whole year 2002, it is dat I need freedom, i need a freedom of time and i need money to do things dat i havent been able to do. The bottomline, Time and Money. Why these 2? Because i realised dat my family's coming apart, my relationships with my friends are comin apart. I realise dat i've been so busy i have lacked time for these ppl in my lifes and i lack the abundance of money to spent on things i want for these ppl and myself too. With these 2 things, All my insecurities can be cast one side and i can free up both time and not worry about havin a lack of money to do the things i want to as and when i desire. As they say one thing leads to another. Yes it's true, i'd want to be financially free, debt free, free from the rat race, free of fear of job insecurity, free of the fear of being poor all my life because really, nobody deserves to lead a poor life.
I sincerely believe that time is of equal importance if not more important than money. How many of us have parents who earn big bucks BUT have no time for us? How many of us have parents who know us inside out? How many of our parents even give a damn about us? All they can do is to give us more cash and more cash to spent thinking dat dat will make up for the lack of time spent on us. I know wat dat feels like because i have a dad who cares more about his business than having time for his children. Ultimately, i believe that we desire our parents time for us even more so than the money they give us. I crave more for my dad's care and concern rather than the money the gives me.
At this point of time, i tell myself dat i would give anything to have my 24 hours returned back to me. I'd want to wake up anytime i want to, choose to spent dat time doing the things dat i choose to do and being unemployed~ many of us work for someone or we will later in life, and to tell u bluntly, dat will never ever get you anywhere at all ;)
If you have big dreams, be it owning your dream house, car..improving your relationship with your families and friends..retiring early, gettin out of the rat race forever, being financially free, earning money dat u find hard to spent finish, then i tell you dat these dreams are not illusions. These dreams can become reality. I thought dat earnin my Dip and goin on to earn my Deg will help me realise my dreams but I was so wrong. Being in mass comm, i realised how screwed up my life can be when all my time is taken away from me. I start becoming a zombie, alive and moving but without soul. I realised dat if this is the kind of life dat i'm gonna be living, and this is the kinda path dat i wanna be treadin along, then i'd rather be a hermit~ i see the kinds of lifes dat ppl in this industry live, they have no time at all for anything. And even if they do, they dun have the freedom to choose how to spend dat time..and this applies to all aspects of the corporate world. I ask myself, do i really really really wanna be working in the corporate world and be feeling the stress of worklife, office politics, backstabbing and all that crap? For those of us doing ITP now, tell me, do u really really love what you are doing?? Can you truly honestly say dat yea, "i'd rather do ITP than go out with my friends and spend money knowin jolly well dat i've got loads of cash to spend in my wallet and i dunno whether i am able to spent all of it." ? ITP i believe, is but a short 2 month insight on what the world of the mass comm industry is like out there. Paralleling this example to the rest of the other industries out there, i must say dat thing's dun seem fun anymore when u realise dat they eat up your time and you get paid limited~ ;) The question to ask yourself is, "Do I really think the corporate world is good for me? Will it make me realise my dreams?"
I believe the number one killer in families these days breakin up and divorces are becos of work. Work takes your time away, leaving you no chance of communicating with your love ones. This is VERY VERY VERY sad..i sit down here typing this and i can't help but feel bad for the millions of ppl in this world who are engaged in the rat race. Those ppl are the real well-tuned robots whose lives have been sold to the rat race. You wanna be like dat? I for one sure as hell would not want myself, my family and my friends to suffer the same torturous process dat i see plaguing millions out there.
Is there a solution to all these problems we face? The answer is a Yes ;) and personally, i've taken dat step to realise my dreams. Now, the question is this: would you like to know about this solution and how it can change your life forever? Well..if you are hungry enough for it, and you have been tellin yourself, "gee..the hell man, my life's a total wreck..wat the hell am i even living on this earth for?" then i tell you dat there is a solution to all these dat's been bothering you.
Remember, A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with the First Step. Now you make dat step to improve your life ;)
