Is Love One And the Same?

I've been thinkin of this and tryin to come up with some explanation which i still havent..Are there different levels or different dimensions and extents of love?
Can we love every single being on this planet and yet be unselfish? Do we have enough love to go around the world? Is love then selfish? Is parental love, friendship love, spiritual love and the love in bgrs one and the same? If we can only love one person in this world (aka ur bf or gf), we will thus have onli one fren? agree? no?

Whoa..i've been askin myself this and this is wat i have to say:

1. Yes i believe dat there are different dimensions and extents of love and the degree of which we love ppl is always different. we love our parents on one dimension and on a different level as well as compared to when we love our friends or significant others.

2. Hm..i believe in our hearts, we can love everybody on the planet, BUT there's no way we can do dat without being unselfish. I dun think we have the ability to cater to everybody's needs, likes, and wat not. It's impossible to love without being somewat selfish to an extent and we all are selfish beings. dats y they call us human *smile* it is beyond our ability to love unselfishly. having said dat, i believe dat is the way we were made - to love selfishly dats wat, and dat's y we onli marry one wife or husband because we..are human! there's no way we could ever love 2 people identically, with the same amount and level of love, no way at all ;) and dats the beauty of it all - not being able to love 2 ppl the same way.

3. So comes the question, if dat is so, then isnt love selfish? Yes i believe so ;) y? becos this love is from the human being, and he is selfish in nature and dat makes watever coming from him selfish. We aint God ya know ;) The love of God is not selfish but the love of Man is. The moment we say something, the moment we do something..something else is sacrificed, we love our kind, and dat's y we burn fuel to cook food so dat our fellow ppl dun fall sick, yes we love them, but in doing so, we are selfish to the environment. dat's an example. The next time u think of anything, remember u are already selfish. ur mere existence on this earth makes u selfish already and we are all products of something selfish. true i must say, becos we aint perfect and we sin.

4. Hm, dat answers the last question, loving one person this way doesnt mean u DUN have the ability to love other ppl anymore ;) dat's quite absurd i must say, becos ppl who are in relationships, u guys have loads of gd pals too am i rite? yea so there goes~ it's selfish the love we have, becos we cannot love our parents, our sig others and our frens the same way. dats being selfish already ;) but it's the beauty of this imperfection - dat is being human, dat makes us so reliable on God. And only God knows i guess ;)

so the bottomline is this:
understand dat u are imperfect, dat u are selfish indeed and u cannot love the "perfect" way like God can becos u are human and but flesh and blood and dats wat makes u beautiful - not being able to love 2 ppl the same way *smile*.
